Today was a good day for a fall color ride; cool, dry, sunny. I wandered around a bit and when I got to Hoagland I decided to top off the gas tank.

The little gas station is at a four-way stop and I had to jack around to get to the correct side of the gas pumps. There were people wandering about, cars crossing and I was watching the side mirrors and backing up when BAM!

WHERE DID THAT STOP SIGN COME FROM? Obviously, no where - it was there all of the time. As my Southern Mother-in Law would have said; "Aw Poot!"

Well, if you leave it in the garage all of the time, nothing will ever happen to it - but it isn't all that much fun either. It's a truck - and it's not the first time I've dinged it, just the most recent.

Well, as most of us have found out - "the guy who made it so pretty" has retired and the shop he founded doesn't do stuff like that any more.

"We don't have time to do jobs like Buster did these days".
