Windshield angle or measurement to rear of tub.

I need the measurement from the top of the windshield frame to the top of the rear tub and/or the correct angle of the windshield.

I have a 64 3B with a replacement tub, done before I got it. There are two sets of holes incorrectly drilled for the windshield frame. It does not sit evenly. There is a measurement from the top of the windshield to the top of the rear tub I found years ago for my YJ, same as the CJ7.

I will be welding these holes and drilling new holes, but need advice on exactly where. I plan to get a top for the 3B and the windshield placement is critical for proper fit.

    Thanks!

The windshield angle is pretty consistent across all the models at 15 degrees. Like you stated, the distance from the top of the windshield to the rear of the tub, (i.e. a CJ2A is around 66") couldn't be found in a Mrs. Google search. It is a common issue that mounting holes on the replacement tubs are questionable at best. If you weld up the holes provided by set the windshield in place with the dash latches secured, and the 15 degree angle set, then you can drill your new correct holes. Then you should be set.

Man that seems to be a consistent theme whether the steel is new or old!

True Bmorgil. If any Jeep had as many drill bits stuck out of it as been stuck in it, it'd look like a porcupine.

I found a chunk of a drill bit stuck in the floor of flossy. I have no idea how long it had been there.
