    Spotting Willys

Before I got my CJ-3B, I really didn't notice the subtle differences in the various models. Flat fenders I just called generically "Army Jeeps" and the others I called "Jeeps".

After starting on my Willys, I've started paying attention to what models show up in the movies. Mostly to get an idea of various accessories and adaptations out in the field.

Hollywood is notorious for some blunders:
George C. Scott rides through a good part of "Patton" in a M38 or CJ-3A.
I swear there's a CJ-3B on the quay in Portugal in "The Winds of War".
Today was a topper: John Wayne rides up in a M38-A1 (or was it a CJ-5?) set in 1942 in "Harms Way".

Speaking of blunders, did anyone notice the amphibious JPWs mocked up as Russian amphibious 4x4 in the last Indiana Jones flick?
