Hello,
New member from Montana. Currently I am down to one jeep - a 1947 CJ2A.
I have had several jeeps since the early 1970"s including pickups, wagons & CJ's

If you have to be down to one - that's not not a bad one to havr.
But - if there isn't a picture - it didn't happen..
Gotta show off for us!

Welcome Sharps.
As LarrBeard said, a 2A the best one to have. We have a wagon, but if the right money came along, it would go down the road. Our 2A will never leave the family if my daughter wants it.

Hear-hear! Howzabout some pix, Mr. Sharps?
Glad I'm not the only Montanan in here! Montana is a fine place to wander in an old CJ.
Also interested if you have any old parts from those previous Willys that you want to part with?

Montanan's, how about some photos of a jeep cruising through whats left of the wide open country!

You bet!! But...Soon as i get my Carter YF rebuilt, and get the correct distributor kit for it (i seem to have bad luck with the reputable Willys parts specialists mistakenly sending the wrong parts...)
Lotta confusion around YF's: mine has absolutely no model number on it. Ordered Kaiser-Willys master rebuild kit first, now the Mike's Carb's kit - hopefully that will get me the correct part array to fully rebuild the thang. Then (hopefully) i can do a Jeeping photo shoot out on the ranch. Still almost no snow, so x-country still works!

I am truly waiting for those pictures Steve! There is definitely some variation in the old parts. You never really know till you try to bolt it together! I have had good luck with Mike's Carburetor. He has a lot of stuff for many carbs.

A guy on the CJ3 Forum sez the Carter YF964 i have is for Stovebolts. And that i need a YF938 (or other newer upgrade) for my Jeep. Not sure if that's entirely accurate, but he may well be correct. i did see somewhere that some CJ3B's had 964S's installed originally... But i did get it back running, only to discover i still had huge power issues. Or fuel supply issues as you (i think) suggested on another thread.
However, for now, i am dealing w/ electrical issues: while wiring up a second (Righthand) wiper something shorted badly. So in the throes of going over every wire and replacing many wasted/worn-out wires. I really need a new Harness...but that'll have to wait.
