Too short is definitely a problem jb! The Hydroboost is a nice feature that's for sure. Some serious braking pressure there.

A hydroboost makes a world of difference for engines that don't produce enough vacuum for traditional braking systems. A guy who built a radical street Camaro with a nice thumpy cam couldn't figure out why he had no brake assistance from the traditional vacuum boost. We recommended that he try out a hydroboost from a Chevy Astro van for its compact size.
On custom brake pedal set ups, I've used a wood dowel to get the measurements just right for proper travel and etc. Sometimes you cut it three times, and it's still too short.....
I believe the struggle with cutting these to short, is a false representation of the rod when mating these up for length. Meaning, rod is low/not correctly located on master cylinder end(not in the dimple per sa but laying on lower surface below correct location). This will cause an incorrect length; about .200 short if not careful. Instructions call for 1/32-1/16”(.030-.060?). My point in how easy it is to cut short.
Here is how I aligned the rod to ensure correct placement; for measurements.

All day to do it, but, was able to mount the LED bulb assemble and get the gearing selectors installed. Final assemble(fingers crossed).

Along with the wood dowel, the CAD, (cardboard aided design) works fantastic for holding brake rods in place and sheet metal design.
It just keeps getting closer!
