    Too Far Gone?

2nd time I looked at this Jeep. Really want to do a flat fender, this one may be too far gone.willy5.jpgwilly5.jpg

Cat, ya just don't know on that till you look good underneath. It looks like it has some good body parts left. You can bet there is no floor and the trans is full of water. The trees through the bumper look like a fast growing popular or something. I would say that's a good 10 year growth there, but an Arborist would pin it right down. A growing tree can impart tremendous force. You want to look and make sure it hasn't done something serious. You really want to be able to reuse some of the major components. The drive-train needs to be somewhat rebuild-able, or it will cost too much. You want a good frame, a good drive train and a rebuild-able engine. Nearly every component is available in some form. You just don't want to end up replacing everything.

I didn't attempt to open the hood. It does appear to have a heater! Missing tailgate, windshield frame is toast, both sides of windshield are broken. Right there is a substantial "cha-ching" $$$!willy10.jpg

Give it a worst case scenario look and add it up Cat. Offer the guy a price accordingly. I would say there is not much left of anything but the frame and power train. If that is rebuild-able, that's all your buying. The rest is cost and labor. There is a lot of work in that one but, it could be done.
