Pinkies Jeep
Awesome Jeep Drewcefus! I love the top. That baby is in fantastic shape. It is a great thing to have a Centurion in the family tree. God bless Grandma Pinkie!

Thanks mate!
Grandma was spitfire for sure! She has since passed on but her legacy is still strong. This CJ2A was the vehicle my wife and I drove away from our wedding in back in 1997. My father-in-law had it until recently when he just couldn't drive it any more due to a bad hip. These old clutches certainly do take a lot of leg and core strength!
I am spending lots of time with it going through it and just giving it some TLC to fix some lingering issues. It suffered from the hard start problem for years. I got that problem knocked in the head with some new ground straps and sand paper on the connections, new spark plugs, and now moving onto more of the appearance issues like the cracked windshield, replacing the old inner windshield frame, etc. It really is a joy to work on something like this as a wrench head, and have the added benefit of it being such a large part of the family's story.

I agree 100%. These Jeeps are great for tinkering and restoring. So many parts are still available and, the basic function of the vehicle makes it so much easier to work on. It makes it a lot easier for a retired mechanic at heart to keep it on the road!
My Grandma made it to 105. It definitely takes a bit of "Spitfire" to get past that 100 mark! She was sharp as a tack till the day she passed. That history makes your jeep a priceless piece.

It makes it special when you can say; "This was my GrandMa Pinky's Jeep".
I get to say; "This was my daddy's Jeep - I've been driving it since I was 12 years old".

To be able to say that about your Jeep, is beyond a doubt what makes your Jeep irreplaceable. You both are very lucky to have that history. Keep em' on the road boy's!

The history behind the vehicles means a whole lot more when it keeps the loved ones memory alive.
