Windshield rebuild question
Hello,
I was just working on my windshield (47 CJ2a). There are 2 studs that poke through the lower part of the frame. Can you tell me what these are for? Looks like they may have something mounted up there, jack or tools etc.
Thanks.

The studs are for the soft top bows. The bows are stowed there when the top is down. There would be pockets on the rear quarters as well, that would act as a pivot for the rear bow. I'll look for some pictures to show the configuration as intended.

I haven't forgotten about the promised pictures. I'll get to them soon.

Thanks, no rush. I currently have no roof parts or doors etc. It will likely be a while before I do anything with these studs.

Thanks, It looks like I actually have a couple of the brackets already, I just didn't know what they were for!

Good deal. I have the clamps on the windshield, but none of the body mounts. The windshield on our 2A is not the original to this Jeep!
