I came across this photo and thought I would post it here. I'm always interested to see older Jeeps, especially from the war. The information accompanying this photo says this was taken on Iwo Jima and that it got bogged down in the soft volcanic sand on the beach and subsequently was a target for enemy artillery and got flipped over. The Marines are said to be salvaging the wheels/tires.
